collaborating with partner organisation APICE (Italy) and lead organisation Viva Sol (Lithuania) over the next 2 years (May 2021 to May 2023).

This is a new project for raising the issue of insufficient cultural activities for youth in rural and peri-urban areas and their low engagement into the local community life. The lack of such facilities and possibilities is caused by geographical, social and economic restrictions. The project is aimed at addressing the need of developing a model of youth work in rural and peri-urban areas through culture and training that youth workers can apply in their work. The youth engagement through culture model would have several goals:

support in creating the variety of cultural life for youth in local areas,

increasing participation of the youth in the rural and peri-urban life through building a stronger community sense,

increasing attractiveness of the rural and peri-urban areas;

decreasing the generation gap.
